For enhanced security on our shared web hosting servers, we have changed the default SSH port from the standard port 22.
How to Connect
To connect to our shared web hosting server via SSH, you will need to specify port 2333 in your SSH command.
Use the following command structure from your terminal or command prompt:

If the shared server IP is 192.168.1.50 and your username is johndoe, the command would be:
Replace <username> with your username and <shared_server_ip> with the shared web hosting server IP address. You can typically find this information in your welcome email or client area.
Using PuTTY
If you are using PuTTY as your SSH client, you can specify the custom port directly in the session configuration screen. Just change the value in the Port box to 2333 before clicking Open.
Why Use a Custom Port?
Changing the default SSH port is a common security practice. It helps reduce the number of automated brute-force attacks from malicious bots that constantly scan the internet for servers listening on port 22.
